Nancy Reynolds is the founder, past president and CEO of the Alberta Centre for Child, Family and Community Research (The Centre). Under her direction, 2003 – 2012, The Centre has become a global leader in mobilizing research into evidence- based policy and practice.
From 1993 to 2003, Ms. Reynolds held executive positions in the Alberta government, including Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) Partnership and Innovation for Alberta Children’s Services and ADM Population Health for Alberta Health and Wellness. For two years, Ms. Reynolds was seconded as the CEO of the Provincial Mental Health Advisory Board, where she was responsible for aligning mental health services with Alberta’s newly regionalized health care system.
Prior to her work in government, Ms. Reynolds was a clinician and health service administrator for many years. Ms. Reynolds currently sits on the Child and Youth Advisory Committee of the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
