Say Don’t Say: the language we use to talk with our kids about mental health

As parents, how do we talk to our kids about their mental health? Language matters but it’s not always easy to know what to say. Let’s talk about the language we use that can help us connect with our kids and support their mental health.

Our Family Peer Support Workers Carolyn and Megan invite you to join them in person for snacks, coffee and connection with other parents/caregivers. The event is free. 

We will be hosting this at Lewis Centre (Craft Room A), 489 Old Island Hwy, Courtenay from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2025. 

This is for parents/caregivers only, and we are not able to provide childcare.  If needed, the Lewis Centre provides childcare for $3.15/child (please arrange directly with the Lewis Centre).
